    Default Transcoding

    hello,

    I'm streaminG FLAC files to my Sony Bravia TV. The files are transcoded since the Sony does not support FLAC natively. My question is whether thre is a degradition of quality once transcoding is performed.

    when trancoding to anything except RAW there is always information loss, ie "degradition of quality" whether you could tell the difference in a double blind test is another matter.
