Talking LG 47LW5700 3D and Mezzmo - some doubts

    Hi guys,

Congrats for the software, after nights without sleep I could be able to find your software and I`m "95% satisfied", let`s see if I got 100% satisfaction to buy the software right?

So, LG TV, LW5700 Series didn't decode DTS tracks into MKV movies, so, the movies plays very perfectly, but, without the audio, does the mezzmo software and transcode the audio in real time to the TV in AC3 pattern?

Is there any way to select the subs that I want to display? I ask that coz I have some movies with audio in Portugues and the subs shows in portugues too, I wish to disable that, can I do it indepently for each movie into the mezzmo software???

So, you have a GREAT product anyway, even with the "trouble" above.

    Thanks in advance!

    Kindly Regards!

    Hi Rafael,

Thank you for the positive feedback - we appreciate it!

Which device profile are you using? If you are using "LG TV" and you have transcoding turned on, then DTS in MKV should be transcoded to AC3. If this is not happening, please enable logging (see this thread: http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread...nostic-logging) then try playing that file again and once it starts playing, but no audio comes up, stop the server and send the logs to support. Please also send FFmpeg information on the file (in Mezzmo right-click on the file and use the "Get FFmpeg Information" command).

The TV may let you choose subtitles via the QMenu button - if it supports choosing subtitles. Are those subtitles external or embedded?

    Hi Dennis,

Thanks ALOT for your fast feedback mate!

So, the Subs sometimes embedded and sometimes in .SRT files...

I did what you told to select as LG TV and the audio is being HANDLE!!!!! GREAT! I loose the option to go forward coz the "RealTime Transcoding"I think, but I can`t even consider this a BUG, is "As is"...

So, this is a example :

ffmpeg version N-33093-gb4483a5, Copyright (c) 2000-2011 the FFmpeg developers
    built on Sep 29 2011 14:54:32 with gcc 4.4.2

At least one output file must be specified

    ---> DB Level Info: 40, 100
    ---> Frame rate: 23,98

See the Default will be in English DTS audio, is there a location, even file by file that I can select the desired MASTER audio for each .mkv file? That way if possible I can check the best audio track for me ( if not in software, let me ask you as a RFE "Request for Enhancement" for the next version ).

    Thanks for your support,

    best Regards!

We actually have a patch available specifically for the LG TVs to make playback of transcoded files better, so if you experience any issues, please open a support ticket and we'll send it to you.

Regarding choosing an audio stream - that's planned for the next major update, but at the moment you could use something like MKVTools and drop the stream you don't need (make sure to run maintenance after that, so that Mezzmo picks up the changed file information).

    Dennis,

I don`t see any issues about the playback, but, as a Technical Support Guy I always want to stay in the top available patch for any software, how can I obtain such patch for the LG TV?

By the way, I think that you guys got one more happy evaluation customer that will pay for your software =)

Do you have a forecast for the next major update?

Thanks for your GREAT support Dennis!

    Thanks alot.

    Best Regards!

Great Dennis... I`ll try the patch, I already submitted the patch for the technical support staff.. let`s see how fast they are compared to you LOL!

After I update a .SRT into the avatar directory I don`t see it loaded into the movie, so, I click on the "Maintain Library" and the Sub appear perfect, is that the correct procedure for the future .srt files added inot the movies folder?

    Thanks!

Most likely it'll be forwarded to me anyway

Yes, if you place an .SRT file into a folder after you've already added the video to Mezzmo, you'll need to run maintenance. If you add a video with an external subtitle file already present, then it'll be picked up without maintenance.

    Hi Rafael,

Can you please confirm that the device profile is still the same?

If "LG TV" is still selected in Media Devices dialog, then please enable logging (see this thread: http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread...nostic-logging), try playing one of the failing files and once it stops, stop the server and send in the logs.
