Question Thumbnail Display (in Mezzmo & Samsung TVs)

Up until a couple of weeks ago, the thumbnails displayed in each folder were always of the folder.jpg file in the same directory as the file. Suddenly, this is no longer the case. After a certain date the thumbnails are now captures from a part of the file (see attached screenshot).

While the newer thumbnails are preferable to me, I would like to understand why the behavior suddenly changed. The date seems to coincide with the last release of Mezzmo, so not sure if any updates pertaining to thumbnails were made there. Is there a way I can go back and make all of my thumbnails look like this? I would like my library to be consistent.

    Thanks.

This was changed in the last release. Folder.jpg should not have been used for video thumbnails, so we fixed this issue. To change the rest of your thumbnails, just do a maintenance on that playlist with "update all" and "artwork" selected.

Mezzmo seems to have changed how it handles thumbnails since my last post. Now it appears that the folder.jpg are taking precedence. I performed the same update as mentioned above and now ALL of my files are using the folder.jpg instead of a video generated file. How do I get Mezzmo to generate a thumbnail for each file again?

I saw this post stating that this cannot be done when a folder.jpg exists? However, this is from before my post above and I have always had folder.jpgs.

Yes, actually it appears that it was added back in. I'll check here and we'll work out a proper solution for this.

    Question

Any idea when this will be incorporated? Alternatively, is there a way that I can change the device profiles or an .ini file in any way to get the results that I would like

It should be part of the next Mezzmo update. There is no way to change this, unfortunately - the program needs to be recompiled. The only way to solve this at the moment is to rename those folder.jpg files to something else for the time being.

The upcoming Mezzmo v2.6 release should have this issue fixed. It is planned to be released next week.
