Default Samsung HT-6500W and .wtv files

    Hello,

The Samsung HT-6500W is on the floor above the HTPC where I record and subsequently stream to. This is done via Wireless N and overall the signal and throughput are quite good. I have no issues streaming 1080p items that don't require transcoding.

However the ClearQAM recordings I have done don't seem to transcode as smoothly as I hoped on my Core i3-2105 (3.1 GHz, Dual Core, 2 Hyper Threads).

I played with multiple different profiles through trial and error and found that if I set profile to "Sony Google TV" and set the Device Settings > Edit Device > Performance Tab to Max Video Size to 1080i (1280x720) I can transcode and stream to this system without a problem. It's strange though because this "Sony Google TV" profile seems largely commented out for the relevant sections (at least I think so). But doing this I notice with this configuration that playing non-transcoded files (.mkv, .avi) I am properly able to FF/REV.

If I set this device to the "Samsung BDP 3D" (which seems to be a closer profile match) my .wtv recordings stutter every 10s or so regardless of settings (played for hours with items on performance tab, as well as manually editing the device profile).

Here is the file I am trying to play:

Any assistance or recommendation would be much appreciated as I am kind of out of ideas on how to make this work a bit more smoothly. (I am ok with reencoding at 1080i for these if required, but it didn't seem the setting on performance tab made any difference to the actual problem).

    Thanks!

The two profiles will encode this file differently. I'd recommend resetting those performance settings back to their defaults, then please enable logging (see this thread: http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread...nostic-logging), delete transcoded files and try playing this file using one profile first and then the other. After that please send in both logs to support and we'll sort it out.

It'd be great if you could send in the file as well, if it's larger than 10 MBs, please upload it to www.megaupload.com or a similar site.
