Question playing VOB files with subtitles

    Hi,
I'm thinking about buying Mezzmo, but before I do that I want to solve ths issue I'm having.
I have a Panasonic Viera plasma, and I can play divx files with srt subtitles using mezzmo, without problems.
However, I have two problems with VOB files:
    - I can play the individual VOB files on the television, but not the entire movie at once
    - I can't see or choose the subtitles
Any idea what I'm doing wrong?
    Thanks,
    L

The current version of Mezzmo will play only individual VOB files - it does not concatenate VOB files. We are planning better VOB support in a future version.

Most models of Panasonic Viera TVs will only display external subtitles streamed via DLNA when the accompanying video file is a DivX file.

Does this mean that my only option would be to convert it to divx with embedded subtitles?

No, you will need create a DivX file and have a .SRT subtitle file alongside it in the same folder with the same name (e.g. inception.avi and inception.srt)

Another question: I have converted it to mkv; which plays well on my Panasonic Viera, I even can choose the subtitles but they are not displayed. I saw in another thread that this will be supported in a next version. Can you tell me when that will be?

Did you create an MKV with embedded subtitles? If your TV supports embedded subtitles in MKVs (and supports MKV natively), then you should have an option to turn the on/off using the Option button on the remote. Do you have that choice? You'll need to use the "Panasonic Viera (2011 models)" device profile.
