Default an android app? mezzmo dlna.

it would be nice to see an app made for android tablets, i guess you could do an i pad one too.. but the app would connect to the mezzmo dlna and instead of just giving cover art.. you could link each vid to IMDB or some other data base.. were you could get all the information on that movie.. trailers, interviews.. if you did kinda take a look at google tvs movies and tv app.. but would be a bit more indepth..
    well

    you did say wish list..

Thank you for the suggestion! We may explore the mobile area in 2012, but no promises at this stage

Can anyone recommend a 3rd party Android app that works well with Mezzmo? I too would like to use Mezzmo with an Android tablet (and with Google TV).

I used Plug Player (paid app) on my phone, and it works OK though the interface is a bit amateurish.

For my kids new tablets, I just found installed Skifta -- free and it works quite well with Mezzmo.

Skifta, like Plug Player, handles the connection to Mezzmo and library browsing.

For actual video playback, I highly recommend MX Video Player.

Several Android apps are listed here: http://www.conceiva.com/products/mez...icesupport.asp. I'd suggest trying iMediaShare together with RockPlayer.

    Paul

I tried your suggestion but could not make the subtitles work.

My device is a Motorola Xoom 2 Media Edition. Any advice?

    Thank you.

Unluckily I cannot login android market. it is very sad.

I've found a good combo that works on my Xperia.
UPnPPlayer and either MX Video player or Moboplayer.

I can strongly recommend Vplayer, used it for almost two years now (HTC Desire/Galaxy S2) and it hasn't failed me yet. It's a must have, allbeit not free, app for media on the galaxy. I have alot of digital media and it plays "everything" (.Flv .Rmvb .Avi .Mkv .Wmv .Mp4 etc)

Remember to enable hardware acceleration in the settings menu.
