    Default Major limits in the Library tree

    I am new but it have worked at this a for a few days and it seem Mezzmo 2.4.5.0 has major limits in the the library tree.
    If any one can help me over come this limits please let me know.

    OK this is the issue. I have Music, Movies, New movies, Video clips from the web, Porno movies, Audiobooks, and Audio stories (text to voice). I was trying to add a few of these different types to the library and of course i don't want every device in the house to access all items. I need to keep the kids from the adult items. Besides Mezzmo locks up every time i add a large number of files at once, i always have to kill the program and most of the time all the files are listed when i restart it.

    The problem, it seems that only three main playlists show up and if i add more playlist at the root it all looks OK but they don't work the same as the three main ones, and all items in my new playlists are add to the smart and active playlists in the three main library types of Music, Photo, Video.
    The playlists i add show up on my Samsung TV in the root listing of all the three mail library types but don't list any files. Any playlist i add to my new audiobook playlist in the library root show up but also don't list any files. I have to go into the Music library and the playlist in there list the audiobooks and all other music type files.
    I can delete all the pre built Music playlists and try and create new ones but you just don't have the option to separate the items. I think i can add my files to playlist folders under the main three playlist and then apply permissions and maybe they will not show up on some device not in the permissions list but it seems not to be working that way for me.

    Is there any good way to do this. Can i have more the three main library types. Because if i make a active playlist of Genre i can not focus it on one type i get the genres of Music, Audiobooks, and My audio stories all listed together.

    I setup a MediaMonkey servers in five minutes and it was very easy to do this. I have been trying this for days on Mezzmo and can not come up with a good way to do it.

    This is actually the way the Samsung TV wants to show folders (three at the root), but there's a way around this.

    You could edit the device profile (e.g. "SamsungLA.prf" for "Samsung C" - to find where device profiles are see this thread: http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread...ofiles-located) and change:

    Code:
    respectfeaturetyperequest="1"
    to be:

    Code:
    respectfeaturetyperequest="0"
    After that save the file, restart the server and you should now see your Library's root folder instead of the three pre-defined ones.

    We're fixing the hang when adding files and it should be part of the upcoming 2.5.0 update.

    Thanks for the Help.

    I deleted the database and started again. I edited the profile and yes now the playlist i add to the root library have files listed in them but only if in the correct group.

    But i find that i have some other issue i never noticed before but it was always there before.
    I added a few playlists to the root library so i have the three defaults and NewMovies and Stories.

    When i open mezzmo on the Samsung TV, i still have the three default groups Music, Photos, and Video.
    If i select Video group it lists all five library's Music, Photos, and Video, NewMovies and Stories.
    If i select Music it lists all five librarys Music, Photos, and Video, NewMovies and Stories.
    If i select Photos it lists all five librarys Music, Photos, and Video, NewMovies and Stories.

    Of course i must select the Video group to find Video files. if a folder listed under the video group that is not a folder of videos is selected it will have no files listed.

    Is there some way to make the Music folders not show up in the Video group and vice versa.

    Ok. I found out it looks/works different if in the All share app then it does under the Video app.

    So after making your edit of the profile, if i go into the smart Hub and select Video , then it lists Mezzmo at the top of the screen and shows the there main folders plus my added root library folders. Every thing looks and works good this way with my limited testing so far.

    Before i was doing it this way when it was not working good, after i started the mezzmo server, the All Share popup on the TV screen listed Mezzmo and i just selected that to open mezzmo on the TV, or i would select Mezzmo out of the source list after pushing the source button on the TV remote. When i did that i would go into the All share program and it would default to Video Group and it would list all folders Vidoe, Music, Photos and my added folder also, but only the folders with Video files would work when in the video group.
