Default Can't see files in folder on Samsung TV 50C7000 but can in Mezzmo software

    Hi,

I've just downloaded Mezzmo to try before I buy scenario, and have run into an issue, that I can't locate within the forum.

Step 1 - I've added a library folder from the local PC and the files immediately came through on my Samsung TV. eg Cars -> Cars.avi

Step 2 - Then the next library I added was a mapped drive from my Dvico TVIX 6600, exact same folder and it appears in Mezzmo software with Folder & files but not on the Samsung TV. eg Cars -> no media content.

Step 3 - When I add file only from the library from the mapped drive, it is viewable on my Samsung TV. eg Cars.avi

Any assistance would be great to make this happen before the trial expires. Hope my examples make sense.

Lastly, I know dependant of PC configs but how long does it generally take for the approx 500gb worth of movies take to add to the library?

    Thanks
    smithy

    Hi,

Does the mapped/shared drive have correct permissions, e.g. it should allow access to everyone, or at least the same user/password as the one you used to register the server?

If you can turn on logging (see this thread: http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread...nostic-logging) then browse to that folder without files on the TV, and once no content comes up, stop the server and send in the logs to support, we'll take a look at what's going on.

Typically, several movie files should be added per second - the longer process is getting video thumbnails (you'll see a system task in the Status pane).

    Hi Dennis,

Thanks for your response. Finally worked it out after reading the more forum entries and followed the logging file too.

Basically, when it mapped the drive it did z:\movies\ and it would not recognise and I don't believe you can do a share on the tvix mapped folders.

I then checked the .avi file that did work and it was \\ip address\tvixhd1\movies\cars.avi

so I changed the folder in Mezzmo to \\ip address\tvixhd1\movies and now can see all the folders and sub folders/ files. all working now.

    Now to test the product.

    Cheers
