Download link using... filename field resets after I edit it

When I edit the filename field, if I don't click on OK quick enough, the editing is un-done.

I know that. But why does the file name I edited revert back to the original while the dialog is displayed - before I click OK - as I examine the name to verify I typed it correctly - it switches back to the original name - all while the dialog is displayed on the screen before I click OK.

The filename is updated with the filename from the server once the URL check is completed, if you wait until the MIME type and size of the URL is resolved by the dialog before you edit the filename then it will not change.
