Default Yamaha RX-A3000 "List Updated" and Playlist Error

I have a Yamaha RX-A3000 reciever (set to the Yamaha RX setting in Mezzmo). For the most part I can play my music files (flac). However, I'm getting a CONSTANT "list updated" message on the reciever. It doesn't seem to be contingent on the size of the play list OR the number of music files I have on the system. I've deleted the Mezzmo database and have tried different numbers of files but to no avail.

The other issue is playlists, sometimes they play, sometimes they start to play and then in the middle after a song they stop. When I look at the play list it says "no content"

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Andrew

We don't have a Yamaha device here to test, so please enable logging (see this thread: http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread...nostic-logging) then try to reproduce either of the issues and once if happens, stop the server and send in the logs to support and we'll take a look at what's going on.

I also have a RX-A3000 and am having the same issue with the constant "list updated" message. It will flicker to the current song every couple of seconds. I have not tried any playlist functionality yet. I have captured the log files and will send to support.

From the previous user's logs, we found that there was nothing wrong/strange occurring between Mezzmo and the Yamaha RX-A3000. It just seemed to be Yamaha's firmware 'feature' that it would always request the playlist again from Mezzmo after or whilst playing a song.

I would suggest you contact Yamaha as well to see if they are aware of the DLNA/UPnP problem in this receiver model. They may fix it in a firmware update.

When we get your logs, we will analyze them to see if Mezzmo is doing anything strange.

As a test, I installed an audio only DLNA server from a different vendor and now my RX-A3000 does not have the constant "list updated" issue with the display.

Mezzmo has a lot of features and from what I read works very well for most users. Though if you have a Yamaha receiver, you may want try an alternative.

Thanks for this information. We'd like to fix this issue so Mezzmo works well with Yamaha receivers. Please contact us at support [at] conceiva [dot] com so we can ask you to do a few things so we can work out what the other DLNA server is doing.

Good news - we found the problem with the constant 'List Updated' message on Yamaha receivers and fixed it. The fix will be in the upcoming Mezzmo v2.6. It is a free upgrade for all registered users.
