    Default Transcoded files are gone

    Hi,

I just spent several days transcoding 1080p movies for streaming. I monitored the space to ensure I didn't run over, but suddenly today I look and there are no files in the folder. The only thing I did differently was upgrade FFMPEG per a support ticket I had opened. Would this cause the transcoded files to be deleted? Given the amount of time it takes to transcode these files I don't want to start it again only to have them deleted. I'm not sure if it's coincidence or not, but today Mezzmo wouldn't show up under my devices on my blu-ray player as well. It had been working just fine for several days so I'm not sure what happened. Anyway, has anyone else experienced anything like this?

No, I am not aware of such an issue. We'll investigate this, but a changed FFmpeg would not have caused this.

Can you please enable logging (see this thread: http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread...nostic-logging) then turn your device off and on again and try to connect to Mezzmo. Once that fails, stop the server and send in the logs to support and we'll investigate. Perhaps they'll give us a clue as to what happened to the transcoded files as well.

I was able to get the device recognized again. I had to stop and restart the services repeatedly and delete the devices from the list in Mezzmo. I think also the windows firewall settings got wiped as I had to use the setting in options to reconfigure the firewall. Eventually the device was found again and I was able to connect and browse from my blu-ray player. This is where I noticed that all of my transcoded files were deleted. I can enable logging and try to connect/browse from the device again, but I'm not sure how much it'll help you. If there's something else you need me to try let me know.

The logs may show if there's an error in the database, for example, which could potentially explain why the transcoded files were deleted, but if the databases are all ok, then yes, unfortunately the logs won't show anything.

We'll try to reproduce this here, so if you remember any specific sequence of steps that you took while pre-transcoding (and also whether the server was running or not and if it was, were you playing any files during pre-transcoding), please let me know.
