I'm using a wired connection from PC and I can pause but am unable to fast forward or rewind Xvid files on my Oppo BDP-93. No problem with MKV files.

Make sure that the device profile is set to 'Oppo BDP' or 'Oppo BDP (LPCM)'. Go to the Media Devices dialog in Mezzmo to change this. Re-start your Mezzmo server and try streaming again.
If no change, then it may be that Mezzmo is transcoding your XVid file on-the-fly so it can be played on your Oppo (which does not support playing Xvid files natively). Whilst the file is being transcoded, you will not be able to FF/REW (as you can imagine, you cannot FF to a point in the file that has not already been created/transcoded). In this case, I suggest you pre-transcode the file before streaming and then you will be able to FF/REW as you like. To pre-transcode a file for a device, right-click on the file in Mezzmo and click 'Pre-transcode File'.
