Thread: BluRay Recommendation

    Default BluRay Recommendation

Hi folks - I'm a happy Mezzmo user with my Samsung BDC5500. Unfortunately, the BluRay player does not support DTS-MA, TrueHD, or Flac streaming. I send recoded MKV files [no transcoding] and currently recode all of my BluRays to MKV with h264 video and recoded DTS audio.

With what BluRay player/manufacturer does Mezzmo have the most success? And do they support high definition audio and Flac?

    Kurt

    Do not even consider Sony.

I second that. If you can afford it, Oppo.

There's no standout recommendation for Blu-ray players. They all have pros and cons - e.g. Samsung has no true FF/REW, Sony has no thumbnails, etc. As mentioned, Oppo probably has the high def audio support that you are after.
