Default No sound on Samsung LCD TV

    Hi

After using the trial I was super impressed I just had to buy mezzmo but I was just wondering why I get no sound on a paticular .mkv file I have. Very broad question with countless answers I'm sure!

    Here is the ffmpeg info

ffmpeg version N-36036-ga40f43d, Copyright (c) 2000-2011 the FFmpeg developers

I have no idea what any of this means but I'm sure someone here does

I'm using Samsung C profile (I'm not even sure that's the right one!). Have had no issues with this one thus far. Tried A, B and D profiles with no luck. All play video fine, just no audio. Have tried Samsung allshare and still no love. Works a treat on VLC (what doesn't )

Is there something I need to do to make this work?

If you need more information let me know and I'll see what I can do.

The most common reason for no sound is that your TV cannot play the audio stream for some reason - either the audio stream is badly encoded or encoded in such a way that confuses your TV's firmware. The workaround is to pre-transcode the file. Right-click on the file and click 'Pre-transcode File'. In the Pre-transcode File dialog, select your device and click 'Choose Format'. In the Transcoding Formats dialog, select the bolded format and select the 'do not remux' checkbox. Click OK to start transcoding. Go to the Transcoding pane to watch the progress. Once transcoding is complete, try streaming the file again to your TV. Let us know if that is better.

That is strange. It's best you send us a set of logs. Please enable diagnostic logging in Mezzmo (see http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread...nostic-logging). Restart your Mezzmo server and connect to it using your TV. Stream the MKV file to your TV. When you have no sound, stop your Mezzmo server and exit Mezzmo. Zip up all the log files and send them us at support [at] conceiva [dot] com.

Sorry to hijack the topic, but I've noticed that all my profiles have a "no transcoding available" in Formats which is odd because I've seen mezzmo transcode on my samsung
    Current DLNA mezzmo served devices:
Samsung ue40c6530 (without sammy go patch)
    Sony PS3
    Iphone 3g (plug player)
    Ipad 3 - 3g (xbmc)

Go to the Transcoding Settings dialog and make sure transcoding is turned on. Also, go to the Media Devices dialog and edit each device to make sure transcoding is turned on.
