Default Sony PMB (Play Memories Home) vs Mezzmo 2.60

Have Been waiting for Mezzmo 2.6 to be released and rushed home to try out the "New: Support for reading Sony PMB metadata files."

This seems to work for most of the files I have, but in the first directory I looked at there is one file that does not work.

    The file looks as follows:

    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
    <plist version="1.0"><dict><key>MetaDataList</key><array><dict><key>DateTimeOriginal</key><real>41041.719895833332000</real><key>IsEdited</key><true/></dict></array><key>XMLFileType</key><string>ModdXML</string></dict></plist>

From Excel, the date/time field 41041.719895833332000 translates to 2012/05/12 05:16:39 PM, however the properties of the file list as follows:
    Created: 17 May 2012 07:59:41 PM
    Modified:17 May 2012 07:59:43 PM
    Accessed: 17 May 2012 07:59:41 PM

I have run Maintain Library with both "Update all Files" as well as "Only update files with missing information", with no effect.

The file is question is an edited home movie - the reason for the current date and time is that I tried to create a new file in case the was a problem with the original file.

I have attached the .modd file for reference.

Any ideas why this one file will not update the meta data?

    Thanks

Can you post the contents of a .modd file that does work? That will let us compare the differences and work out what may be going wrong.

    Default Wrking .modd file

20120512172653.mpg.zipAttached is one that does work. What I have noticed is that edited files do not seem to work and they have less info in the .modd file.

Thanks - we have just fixed the issue and it will be included in the minor update (v2.6.1) that will be released shortly.

The XML formatting was slightly different between the PMB .modd files and Mezzmo's PMB .modd XML parser did not take into the account the variation that you found.

Any idea why the Duration field for the home videos would be 0h00m? I see that there is a Duration field in the XML file.

It seems that the duration is 0h00m for the home movies but OK for Music Videos and DVD Rips.

    Thanks

We'll check out the duration and see if there is a problem. Thanks for reporting this.

    Default Still no data

    Hi Paul

I just tested this again with the 2.6.1 version - Still the same result. The edited video file meta data does not update.

Attached is the .modd file (new).Riley Hose Fun.mpg.zip

I performed a maintain library for all as well as missing data only witht he same result.

    Any suggestions?

OK - we'll re-test it here with your .modd file. We'll post back here after testing it.
