    Default Iso files

I currently have my video library backed up to .iso form (I like menus and the easy ability of making copies). At home I let my kids use programs like Windows Media center and XBMC to play those files. WMC has a script called mount image which automatically mounts the iso and then plays it. What I am wanting is something like that, so that I can then use only Mezzmo.

Any chance of adding support for mounted images in iso form?

    Thanks,
    Adam

Thanks for your suggestion. Streaming ISO images has been requested by several users and we certainly have it on our development list. However, we do not yet have a firm release date for it since we are busy on other feature development.

Mezzmo Android: Install it on your tablet, smartphone, Android TV or Amazon Fire to browse and stream files from your Mezzmo library to all your devices. Full details at http://www.conceiva.com/products/mez...mo_android.asp

Default Need updated status on support of ISO files.

The last response to this question was in May. Please provide a current status on this feature as it is extremely desirable. My entire DVD collection is in the form of ISO files and I can't find any DLNA product that handles this. You state that your product is better than everyone else's. This would truly put you in a class of your own.

Have you thought about partnering with one of the virtual drive software companies (ie. http://www.slysoft.com/en/virtual-clonedrive.html). You could list the ISO's in the available media list, then call one of these company's software when an ISO is requested. It would mount it and then you just server the DVD media like any DVD directory structure. Call the software again when the DVD hasn't been accessed in X minutes and it will unmount it.

I look forward to your response so that I can determine if I should purchase your software or not. Thank you.

We are working on it now and we are hoping we can finish it for Mezzmo v3.0, which is due for release before the end of this year.

    (Thanks for your suggestions also!)

I too would like this feature, "BUT" DLNA does not support the DVD/BD menu system. So how will Mezzmo fufill this request???

Daddio, I have thought about your option to but there is way to much overhead involed and therefore delay to achive this using Slysoft's Clone Drive. Mezzmo needs to read into the ISO file and if a 1:1 copy find just the movie and play it. DVDFab and tools alike can find just the main movie and strip out the rest of the preview and menus. If Mezzmo can do this with a 1:1 copy of a DVD/BD ISO then we are on to something.

I have experimented with MediaCenter and ISO mounting tools with some custom scripts but no matter how fast of a computer you have you still need to rely on the virtual mounting of the ISO file.

    Thanks,
    Niles

    Hi Niles.

As mentioned in my previous post, we're working on it now and so far it is looking good. We will not be reading or streaming the DVD/BD menu system - rather delivering the video titles & content from the DVD/BD file system. Hopefully we'll have it completed for Mezzmo v3.0.

I don't believe so and I have not seen a DLNA server or renderer to date that has DVD menu support, but I will check our DLNA documents again.
