What DLNA device (including model number) are you streaming this file to? And, what device profile have you chosen in Mezzmo for this device? Go to Media Devices dialog in Mezzmo to see this.

Mezzmo Android: Install it on your tablet, smartphone, Android TV or Amazon Fire to browse and stream files from your Mezzmo library to all your devices. Full details at http://www.conceiva.com/products/mez...mo_android.asp
Mezzmo for Kodi Add-on: Install it into Kodi to stream files from your Mezzmo library directly in Kodi. Full details at http://www.mezzmo.com/wiki/doku.php?...odi_user_guide
Mezzmo for Roku App: Install it onto your Roku to stream files from your Mezzmo library. Full details at http://www.mezzmo.com/wiki/doku.php?...oku_user_guide

That file will be streamed directly to your TV without any transcoding by Mezzmo. So, there may be something in the file's encoding that your TV does not like or cannot handle.

One thing to try is to pre-transcode the file to another format and see if that plays OK. Right-click on the file and click 'Pre-transcode File'. Choose your TV from the device list and click Choose Formats. In the Transcoding Formats dialog, select the bolded format and select 'Force full transcode of all channels' checkbox. Click OK and select the 'Pre-transcode files even if they match the device's supported formats'. Click OK and the transcoding will start. Go to the Transcoding pane to see progress. Once transcoding has completed, then try streaming the file to your TV now.

Tried that but it said the files in the q did not need transcoding as they were supported by the device profile selected

I agree - the files do look similar. The problem could still be the actual encoding of the files themselves though. Your TV may not be able to decode certain files if their encoding is outside the capabilities of your TV's firmware (or the file's encoding is corrupted in some way).

With regards pre-transcoding, I forgot to mention one thing. In the Transcoding Formats dialog, choose the bolded format and select the 'Force full transcode of all channels' checkbox. Click OK to close the Transcoding Formats dialog and then select the 'Pre-transcode files even if they match the devices formats' checkbox. Click OK and the file will begin pre-transcoding. Go to the Transcoding pane to see progress. Once it has been completed, then try streaming that video file on your TV again.

If there's still a problem, it's best we see a set of logs to see what is going wrong. Please turn on logging (see http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread...nostic-logging) and restart your Mezzmo server. Try streaming one of the video files that does not play first. When it fails, then try streaming one of the video files that does work. After playing it for a few minutes, stop your Mezzmo server and exit Mezzmo. Zip up the logs and send them to us at support [at] conceiva [dot] com.
