Default Problems with some AVIs and Samsung

I normally send videos through Mezzmo to my Samsung (BD-C5500) BluRay player however some AVIs do not play. The same files will play on my TV (Sony KDL-40EX700) just fine. They will even play via Mezzmo on my Android phone.
The profile for my Samsung player is set at: Samsung BDP 3D.
    Any ideas?
    The ffmpeg output is:

Using the Samsung BDP 3D device profile, this AVI file is passed natively through to your Samsung BDP by your Mezzmo server, so there must be something in the AVI file that your Samsung BDP player cannot decode/play.

As a workaround, you can pre-transcode the file to the preferred format (MKV) for your device and see if that plays better. To do this, right-click on the AVI file in Mezzmo and click 'Pre-transcode File'. Let us know how you go.

Pre-transcoding wont work. When I try to pre-transcode the files to MKV I get a message that says: No files were queued for transcoding since they match formats that are supported by the selected device". If I recode the files in a separate program they do work however. Even though I transcode them from AVI to AVI. I have noticed this happening on quite a few AVI files.

Thanks for the feedback, BigTree. In the Pre-transcoding Files dialog, select the 'Pre-transcode files even if they match the device's supoprted formats' checkbox. And, when you click on 'Choose Formats', select the 'Force full transcode of all channels' checkbox in the Pre-transcode Formats dialog. This will force Mezzmo to pre-transcode the file for you. Try that and see how you go.

Can you send me a link to mezzmo 2.60 not 61 or 62. I have this issue as well. I believe my issue started at 2.61. Not sure, would like to test.

I used to be able to play a whole library of avi files... 500+. Pre-transcoding is not an option because of HDD space.

Also, is there a way to force realtime transcode in a supported format?

    Hi mark11,

Can you send us a set of logs for a file that is failing to play? We'll analyze it here and fix it immediately. Please turn on logging (see http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread...nostic-logging) and restart your Mezzmo server. Try streaming an AVI file, and once it fails, stop your Mezzmo server and exit Mezzmo. Zip up the logs and send them to us at support [at] conceiva [dot] com.
