Default srt files with Philips Tv

    Hello,
I have bought a new tv and will be delivered next week.
It is this type : PHILIPS 40PFL9606H/12

Does this television support Mezzmo media with .srt files ?

    Greetings,
    Dirk

Short answer is I don't know Long answer is we have had a few users with similar Philips models report that they could not see SRT subtitles on their TV even though Mezzmo is presenting the SRT to the TV correctly. One user reported in January 2012 that Philips tech support stated the TV's firmware was the problem and an update would fix the issue. Hopefully they have updated the firmware by now and it has resolved the problem. Once you get your TV, download and install the 15-day trial version of Mezzmo and give it a try. If you are having problems, then post back here and we will check that Mezzmo is delivering the SRT to your TV correctly.

    Hi Dirk,

Please send us as set of logs and we'll make sure Mezzmo is presenting and streaming the SRT file to your Philips TV. Please enable logging (see http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread...nostic-logging) and restart your Mezzmo server. Stream a video file to your TV that has a .SRT file and when you do not see subtitles displayed on your TV, then stop your Mezzmo server and exit Mezzmo. Zip up all the logs and send them to us at support [at] conceiva [dot] com.

    ok,
    the file has been mailed.
for the moment i use avi.recomp to hard-burn the subtitles, this also works but it takes about 40 min for 1 avi file of 700 MB.

    Hi Kandelabro,
can you please enable diagnostic logging http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread...nostic-logging and then after restarting your Mezzmo media server, try playing a file that has an srt file and then send the logs to support [at] conceiva [dot] com so that we can see whether the srt file is being listed.
