Thread: Support for Technisat Digicorder ISIO S?

Default Support for Technisat Digicorder ISIO S?

    Hi there,

mezzmo is great product, but I have big problems to work it properly with my SAT receiver (PVR) Technisat Digicorder ISIO S.

Mezzmo proposes the profile "generic (NTSC)" even though I am running PAL systems only.

When using the "generic NTSC" profile, the video does not run smootly but gets interrupted,
    e. g. streaming a mkv file, even though the Technisat Digicorder ISIO S knows to play mkv files.

Changing to "generic PAL" does not help.

    What can I do?
    I am drowning here ..

    Thanx for your help!

Using the Generic Device (PAL/NTSC) device profiles, your videos files will be transcoded to MPEG-2 as this is a baseline DLNA guideline. If your receiver does support MKV files, then we'll create a new device profile for you (and for other Technisat receiver owners). Can you contact us support [at] conceiva [dot] com and supply some information to us that will enable us to create the device profile? We'll need the following:

    • Please enable logging (see http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread...nostic-logging) and restart your Mezzmo server. Stream a sample video file to your receiver from Mezzmo. When it starts playing, then stop your Mezzmo server and exit Mezzmo. Zip up all the logs and send them to us at support [at] conceiva [dot] com.
    • If you know the video, audio and image formats that your receiver supports, then send that to us also. Check your manual or Technisat web site.

Once we get this information, we'll create the device profile for you to try.

We have sent you the device profile several times to your email address, but your email program or ISP must be blocking 'conceiva [dot] com' domain emails. Check your spam folder and spam settings. If you cannot find our emails in your spam folder, then send us an email again to support [at] conceiva [dot] com and we'll re-send again.

    I tested it today:
+ Xvid/avi files are running smoothly (with no transcoding)
    - Mkv files are not recognized at all and not listed anymore by Technisat DigiCorder ISIO

Mkv files are best handled when the profile "SONY BDP PAL/NTSC, MKV" is selected for the Technisat DigiCorder ISIO, however that profile cannot handle DIVX/XVID/AVI.

Could add the support for Mkv files by kind of copying this part from the "SONY BDP PAL/NTSC, MKV" profile?

Thanks for the testing & feedback. We have tweaked the device profile so Matroska files should be listed and played. Can you download it again and follow the same instructions that we sent you in our previous email? Remember to restart your Mezzmo server.

Let us know how it goes.
