Default Streaming is very, very slow

I have my video collection on a Western Digital 1TB World Book connected via an ethernet cable. I have my laptop connected via ethernet cable, and my PS3 as well. If I stream a movie via Mezzmo that is on my laptop it works perfectly with no hick-up, if I stream a movie that is on my WD drive then I having nothing but problems with streaming (it takes forever)!!!! I don't encounter this problem via WMP12 when streaming from my WD drive so I can only assume it has something to do with Mezzmo. Is this a setting that I can adjust? This by far has been the best piece of software to stream movies and such, but I have serious doubts if I can't stream quickly via my ethernet connected hard drive. If it matters I'm running windows 7. Thanks for help.

Actually we have a WB drive here and it is one of the slowest external drives that we have. Nevertheless, the speed should be enough for streaming.

At this point, with our release of the new version almost here, I can only recommend you to try the new version once it's out. It is really a different product and I think that the problem you have will not be there.

Sorry I can't be of more assistance at this point, hopefully you'll try the new version and you'll like it even better.

Thank you for the response. As cryptic as it was it still makes me wonder and according to the download I only have 15 days to try it and I can't make a purchase if it is still causing me these problems. Is there any chance that you can extend my trial version until I can test your new update? That way I can know for sure how to move forward. Thank you very much.

    Sorry for not replying earlier.

The new version will be cheaper and better, so please just hang in there a little bit longer and hopefully it'll be worth it in the end.
