Thread: Panasonic Viera P50S30 playback and video stutter

Default Panasonic Viera P50S30 playback and video stutter

I just installed the trial of Mezzmo to try it out but I'm having some problems. I have the Panasonic Viera P50S30. When I use the default Panasonic Viera (2011 Models) profile it will not read any of my videos. I get an "!" by the file name on the tv screen. If I change it to the other Viera profiles it's the same. I tried switching the profile to Generic (NTSC) like someone else did and now it reads most of my movies but when I play them the audio is perfect but the video stutters.

    I'm running on wired LAN.
My PC is an AMD Phenom II X4 965BE 3.4Ghz.
    4 Gigs 1333Mhz RAM
    WD Caviar Black hard drive
    Geforce GTS 250

I'm sure I meet the requirements but I was wondering if someone can help me perfect this. I love the program interface and I'd buy it if everything worked right.

Just came back to using Mezzmo to try it out because I was able to extend my trial. Which Panasonic Viera setting should I be using? I want to buy this program but it obviously needs to work first.

Welcome back Try the 'Panasonic Viera (2011 models)' and see how you go. If any problem, then post the FFmpeg information on the file you are streaming. To do this, right-click on the file in Mezzmo and click 'Get Ffmpeg Information'.

Tried PAnasonc Viera (2011 models) and Panasonic Viera (2011 models, NTSC). Some videos play but some will not.

And automatic transcoding is turned on to full quality. I get thumbnails for the movies that will not play on the list on the tv but it just says Cannot read file when I try to watch.

Thanks for the info. Both files are streamed natively to your TV using the 'Panasonic Viera (2011 models)' device profile. It seems the TV's firmware cannot play XVID AVIs. As a test, in Mezzmo, right-click on the Nightmare on Elm Street AVI file and click 'Pre-transcode Files'. In the Pre-transcode Files dialog, choose your Panasonic TV and click Choose Formats. In the Transcoding Formats dialog, select 'mpegts' and click OK. Click OK to start pre-transcoding the file. Go to the Transcoding pane to monitor progress. Once transcoding has completed successfully, try streaming the file again to your TV. This time, the transcoded file will be streamed. Let us know how you go.

I'm pre-transcoding it now. I think I've done this the last time to troubleshoot. Is there a way to transcode with the proper options on the fly to stream so I don't have to use up more hard drive space? Or am I stuck having to pre-transcode the ones I want to watch every time?
