Default AVCHD streams interrupted on Samsung C and D with Mezzmo 2.6.7

I attempted to play AVCHD movies through my Samsung C and D TV's. The movies get interrupted every 30-40 seconds with a 'Loading' message on Samsung D and with a 'Preparing to play' message on Samsung C. After that the movies continue from where they stopped.

Picture and sound quality is flawless. There is no choppyness or sound interruptions before the movies pause. Both TV's are on cable Ethernet. Mezzmo does NOT transcode the streams.

Logs have been sent via email.

    ffmpeg information is as follows:

(The invalid timestamps appear consistently on all AVCHD streams I produce from my TV tuner card and then render with Nero Vision)

    Hi BeFi,

Given that Mezzmo is streaming the files directly and your home network appears to be stable and fast, then it may be the high bitrate on the video file itself. Your TV's firmware may be struggling to play it. We have your logs (thanks) and we will analyze them shortly. We'll post back with our findings.

    HI Paul,

The video bitrate of my trusted MP2s is 9.7MBit/sec, the video bitrate of the AVCHDs is just 12.5MBit/s. Given that the Samsungs are playing HDTV from the same satellite source as I record my video streams from that should not be an issue.

Understand, BeFi. We may have found the problem today (and also causing the random disconnects you are getting). We're just testing our fix now. If all goes well in our testing, I'll contact you with a patch to try. Thanks for your patience on these issues.

The interrupts still occur with 2.7.1. but they are clearly associated with network throughput. I will upgrade my lan-over-powerline to higher speed and assess the effect.

I don't fully understand why an AVCHD stream of 9 MBit/sec is interrupted while an MPEG2 stream of 9MBit/sec is not but when streaming over different physical line options it became clear that the frequency of interruptions correlates with network throughput.

Let us know how you go, BeFi. If you still suspect it has something to do with Mezzmo, then contact us & we will investigate.
