I see NAS mentioned a few times in the literature on the website. I am thinking about building one. I assume Mezzmo can access media on a NAS. Anything to watch out for?

A long habit of not thinking a thing wrong, gives it a superficial appearance of being right, and raises at first a formidable outcry in defense of custom.

Hi mark11,
Mezzmo works really well with NAS drives. The only issue that comes up from time-to-time from users is setting up access permissions on NAS drives. Some users report that their folders are empty when they try to browse a folder on their device when streamed by Mezzmo server. This is typically an access permission problem where Mezzmo server does not have rights to access the folders on the NAS. So, make sure that Mezzmo and Mezzmo media server has full read access to the NAS drive. You may need to set up a guest account or user account names on your NAS drive with the same names as that you are using Mezzmo on your Windows computer.
Also, make sure the NAS drive is not in sleeping mode as this can affect streaming performance (i.e. due to the NAS wake up time).
