    Question Mezzmo 2.7.1.0 + Windows 8

I was glad when Win 8 support was issued to Mezzmo. Went ahead and installed it but ran into an issue where only the the upper folders are visible on my Samsung TV. Subfolders or contents are not visbile. Anyone else with this issue?

    Hi,
can you please enable diagnostic logging http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread...nostic-logging and then after restarting your Mezzmo media server, try to browse the folders on your device then send us the logs so that we can see the details of the problem.

It is possible that the Mezzmo media server is not looking in the correct folder for your Mezzmo library, so instead of presenting your existing library it is creating a new empty library in this location. The logs will show us if this is the case. You can try renaming your Mezzmo media server in 'Media Server Settings' in Mezzmo to force the server to be re-registered and this may correct the problem.

    Thanks for the logs.

The problem seems to be access permissions related when Mezzmo server tries to access files on your \\DISKSTATION network drive. Please see this FAQ how to fix this issue - http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread...r-home-network.

If you are still having problems, let us know and we'll help out.

I tried with creating the credentials but unfortunately this did not work. What I am now trying is that I created a mapped drive to the folders i would like to share. I am running a database maintenance and will see what the end result will be.

You are right - the same issue exists. From the logs, Mezzmo server is still unable to access your \\DISKSTATION drive (even if it is mapped). Please check your credential settings again and make sure you have entered 'DISKSTATION' (your NAS's name) and the correct username and password to gain full access.

If that does not work, then try the 'Log On' settings for Mezzmo server's Windows service (as detailed in the FAQ - http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread...r-home-network).

Let us know how you go.

Ok managed to get it running. The trick was to change the Mezzmo Media UPnP Server Service to use the LIVE account instead of the system account. Might be helpful to include that note in your Windows 8 guide
