Thumbnail question

Just a question about thumbnails:

I have a lot of High Definition files that must be transcoded before show it on the TV. These files use a lot of space, not only the originals but the transcoded files too, so what I'm doing is transcode the files one by one (using ffmpeg commands according with mezzmo logs files) and adding this files to the Mezzmo server, but I cannot see thumbnails, only a gray square with the "mpg" word... Is this normal?

We had some issues with generating thumbnails for some file types, but this has been fixed in the upcoming 2.1.7 release. Thanks for bringing this up!
