    Question Newer NeoTV models

Netgear released a new line of NeoTV models this year and I am keenly interested if you are planning on supporting these puppies. It gets detected as a 'Pioneer BDP', and video streams without a problem. However, I am looking to have subtitles as well, and so far they do not display on that particular profile.

This is the product in question. It is a NeoTV Max.

I have tried to pick a particular profile that might be able to be compatible, but so far nothing works. It will either hang/freeze/sit there causing me to force it off and restart it, or plays and stops immediately.

I am using the trial version, as I am less inclined to pay for the licensed copy if I can't get it to stream subtitles, and if I do pay for it and it doesn't/won't be able to display subtitles I'd feel keenly ripped off.

I'd be happy to help develop support for this set-top box, as it's just what the doctor ordered.

*Note- I have tried using all three Netgear profiles and all it does is cause my device to hang.

Thanks for the information. We'll create a device profile for this device so you can stream perfectly.

Try using the 'WD TV Live' device profile in Mezzmo. Also, turn on logging (see http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread...nostic-logging) and connect to Mezzmo from your NeoTV. Try to stream some videos, music or photos and then stop your Mezzmo server and exit Mezzmo. Zip up all the logs and send them to us at support [at] conceiva [dot] com.

Also, please send us the video, music, image and subtitle formats that the device supports. It should be in the device's manual.

I too have a couple of NeoMax devices. They play video great, but would love ff/rew/pause capabilities.

I have done some testing today and tried all of the WD TV Live and the Netgear NEO profiles, which all hang the NeoTV Max. When I set the device back to Pioneer BDP the video plays great. Pause/Play works fine, but no FF/Rew. It would be great if you could create device drivers to allow for ff/rew.

    Hi gliot1,

We'll create a NeoTV Max device profile. Please turn on logging in Mezzmo (see http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread...nostic-logging) and restart your Mezzmo server. Connect to Mezzmo using your NeoTV Max and browse some playlists and play a video. Then, stop your Mezzmo server and exit Mezzmo. Zip up all the logs and email them to us at support [at] conceiva [dot] com.
