Cool New Files in the Library

Guys, in the process of converting from Tversity to Mezzmo. I have the trial version and I must say - it's an awesome application compared to Tversity. I have a Samsung LN46B750 TV and having a native profile is great!

A question about an issue I have re: adding an individual video file to a specific folder.

I tried right clicking on a folder I created and added a file by navigating to the file and identifying the appropriate playlist. But the file is now appearing as a folder - not a file.

I deleted the file/folder from the library, moved the file from the hard drive folder it was in and "rebuilt" the library with the remove unfound files checked. I then placed the file back in the folder on my hard drive and rebult the library again "updating" the libraby with changes.

But the file shows up not in the folder of the library but, as a folder under "all videos".

All other new videos I place in the hard drive folder appear properly in Mezzmo so I believe this file has some settings in the library from my original "add to folder" mistake.

How to I resolve the issue so this file appears in the proper folder so I can access it from my television?

    Thanks - eking34 a Mezzzmo convert.

Can you please tell me if the original folder that you've created is a "Normal Playlist" or is it a dynamic folder - that you would've created using the "Add Folder"? Is the icon of the folder white or yellow?

At the highest level it's a dynamic playlist of "videos" - white. It has Artist, File type, etc.. underneath it in the structure. But I also have a Normal playlist folder - yellow - called DVDs under the "videos" folder. I originally attempted to "add" the individual file to the "DVDs" floder by right clicking and "adding" it.

Actually, white is a normal playlist and yellow is the dynamic ones. You cannot add files to the dynamic folders - they'll be picked up and removed automatically based on the actual files (so, if you delete a file from that folder and do a refresh, it should disappear and vice-versa). You can add files to the normal playlists by simply dragging them there from other playlists or using the "Add Files" command, for example.

So, how do I "undo" what the librabry seems to knwo about this file?
I removed the file from the hard drive. 'rebult" the library and the file did not appear.
But, when I put the file back in the folder and rebuilt the library - the file didn't appear in "DVDs" it showed up as a folder under "Videos" not a file in "DVDs".

When you delete a file from the library, it should remove it from the database permanently (there is a check box on the delete file dialog box to remove the file from the library that needs to be checked in order for information about the file to be actually removed).

Then, just go into the DVDs folder and it should re-appear there.

If possible, can you please take a screenshot of the issue and send it to support@conceiva.com or post it here?

Also, it may help if you can send your database file (it's called Mezzmo.db) to the e-mail above, maybe there's a corrupt entry of some sort in there that we can spot and fix.
