Thread: 2.7.1.0 stop and start on SOME files

  1. #1

Default 2.7.1.0 stop and start on SOME files

can't really call it stuttering... it completely stops for a second or 2, plays a second or 2, then stops again.. almost as if it is transcoding but not fast enough to keep the buffer full, so to speak..

    a file that stops:

In Mezzmo, check the Transcoding pane when you are streaming these files. If you see them listed as transcoding and they are marked in red, then that tells you your PC is unable to transcode them fast enough for realtime streaming. The workaround for this is to pre-transcode the file before streaming it to your Xbox 360. Right-click on the file and click 'Pre-transcode Files'. Once pre-transcoding has completed, then try streaming the file again. This time, you should see no stuttering/stopping due to transcoding issues. If you still see stuttering/stopping, check your wireless connection as this is a common cause for stuttering playback. If possible, your wireless connection should be wireless-N with full signal strength for best results.
