Default Multiple instances, different encoding of the same file in the library

Currently, it is possible to have transcoded versions of a library file. In principle these files are hidden from the user.

Is it possible to maintan multiple instances of the same file within the library and present this as a single file to client and have Mezzo stream the instance which best matches the capabilities of the client?

Mezzmo holds multiple transcoded files for a file in your Mezzmo library and delivers the best matching transcoded file to each of your devices in your home.

Right-click on the file in Mezzmo and click Properties. Go to the Transcoding tab in the Properties dialog and you will see all the transcoded files for each device for the selected file.

In that case Mezzmo is handling the transcoded files inplicity. I would to be able to handle the transcoded files explicitly and actually be able to provide the transcoded files which has been transcoded using software different from Mezzmo.

Sorry, there is no method to add your own transcoded files for a particular file into Mezzmo.

If you have converted a video file using an external program (e.g. Handbrake), then you can simply add that converted file into your Mezzmo library and supplement the video's name like 'The Incredibles (for Sony Bravia TV)' so you know it is for a particular device.
