Exclamation What is the appropiate profile for a LG BH6220S?

I have an LG bluray home theather (BH6220S), the profile i have selected is "LG BluRay (LPCM)", what i've been notice is that it takes several seconds to play the music files, it behaves the same with any format (mp3 or flac). Also i noticed that some folders appears blank.

I include you the log files when i got the folder empty message.

    Regards!!

The 'LG BluRay (LPCM)' will streams only LPCM audio to your device, so any music file such as MP3, FLAC, etc. will be transcoded on-the-fly to LPCM whilst streaming. This could explain the small delay you are getting whilst playing your music files. As a test, if you try to play the same music file again, there should be no delay since the music file will have already been transcoded and stored in Mezzmo's transcoding folder. If this is the case, one option is you can pre-transcode your music files so that there is no delay due to transcoding on-the-fly. Right-click on a music file in Mezzmo (or right-click on a music folder/playlist in Mezzmo) and click 'Pre-transcode Files' (or 'Pre-transcode Playlist') to pre-transcode your music files.

Another thing to try is to see if your LG Blu-ray model supports streaming more than LPCM via DLNA. Try using the 'LG BluRay' device profile as it also support streaming MP3 natively. Once selecting this device profile, restart your Mezzmo server and try streaming a few MP3 files. If they play fine, then you know that this model supports playing MP3 via DLNA. If they don't play, then you will have to go back to the previous device profile and probably pre-transcoding is your best option. Let us know how you go.

With regards you folders appearing blank, I have checked your logs. Everything appears OK. Is it possible that you are browsing folders/playlists for (say) your music, but you were in Photo or Video mode on your LG Blu-ray (hence why no music files were listed)? Can you tell me the names of the folders/playlists that appeared blank? That will help see the problem in the log files that you posted. Thanks.

Hi, thank you, i already change the profile, but it's still takes a couple of seconds to play the files. Regarding the empty folders i got this when i select the option "folders" or by artist, on the second choice i got the names of the artist but most of the folders are empty.

I use mezzmo also with a samsung smart tv, but i have no issues with it.

    Regards!!

Our LG TV and Blu-ray players are also quite slow to list folders and play files, so the delay could be inside your LG's firmware. Just to be sure, please capture a set of log files when you play one of the music files. Email the logs to us at support [at] conceiva [dot] com.
