Default Slow to populate films list

    Hello

I have a Samsung UE46ES7000 and am having a slight issue with the films populating. If I select the films folder it takes about 3-4 minutes for the folder to show them. If I then watch a film then select back to go back to the film list it then takes 3-4 minutes again for the list to populate. Am I missing something in the settings to speed this process up.

    Regards

    Marshall

Possibly you have 1000's of movies in the one folder? If true, then it may take time to list them all. It make sense to have sub-folders to break them down into smaller groups (e.g. by year, genre, etc.).

If you don't have 1000's of films in the one folder, then we'd like to see a set of logs why it is so slow. Please turn on logging (see http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread...nostic-logging) and restart your Mezzmo server. Connect to Mezzmo using your TV and browse to your films folder. When it finally lists the films, stop you Mezzmo server and exit Mezzmo. Zip up all the logs and email them to us at support [at] conceiva [dot] com.

I do have over 1700 films to be fair. I tried a free trial of Serviio and this automatically added a folder in which there were sub folders listed 1 - 10 and A - B which makes life so much easier. I am yet to find a way to get Mezzmo to do this.

As per my post on your other thread, you can use smart playlists to create a "rolodex" style playlist/folder structure. See http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread...ists-in-Mezzmo.
