    Default Metadata for multi-part movies

    Hi,

Apologies if this has already been answered, but I couldn't find anything in the search.

Is there a way to get Mezzmo to apply meta data at the folder level, rather than the file level? I've got some movies that are multi-part, and there doesn't seem to be a way to have Mezzmo just do one set of overall metadata, rather than having to add both individual parts?

    Thanks

Is there an option to join the parts into a single movie ? I've done this with things like Ben Hur and such, which were over multiple discs. Mine were in m2ts format. TSSplitter is a good tool for this and supports multiple formats

To just manually edit the metadata for all the videos in a folder, I suggest you multi-select all the files in the folder in Mezzmo (use Ctrl+click to multi-select files) and then right-click on one of them to display the Properties dialog. Any edits you make will be applied to all selected files.

For a more automated approach, I suggest you use an external metadata file such as "movie.xml". Mezzmo will apply any metadata that it finds this metadata file to all the videos that it finds in the folder when you add the videos into your Mezzmo library or maintain your library.

Thanks. Do you know of any decent software to create external metadata files?

Popular software tools are XBMC, ThumbGen & MediaBrowser - but there may be others that Mezzmo users can recommend. Mezzmo supports reading the metadata files from these tools.
