Default Play transcoded mzt files directly on panasonic tv

    Hi

I have a panasonic TH-P42V20A and use the Panasonic Viera profile to transcode natively unplayable files. This works just fine. If I try and pre-transcode a file I get the option to use m2ts with aac so I assume that's whats used when transcoding any file for the panasonic tv.
However, if I copy one of these files to usb and try to play the file directly on the tv I have a problem.
I've tried renaming the file extention from .mzt as follows .m2ts .mpeg .mpg .ts .avi and all fail to play natively directly on the tv. Being that these files have been transcoded to a playable format through dlna should I not just be able to rename them as above and play directly on the tv?

    Any help appreciated
    Thanks
    Mike

    Hi,
some devices have different formats supported through USB and DLNA, so a file that can play through DLNA might not play through USB. m2ts would be the correct extension to use but the firmware for the USB player may not support this.
