Default Yeah... Here we go again. Major release, major device profile issues

I hate to say it but you guys really broke me this time. My Sony SMP N100, Sony SMP N200 and at least one of my Samsung Blu Ray (BD-C6500) are broken. Some major containers that previously worked are broken now. This is surprising since previous breaks have been limited to one device maker at a time. All the following get corrupt files on all devices above. All except the AVI fourcc DIV3 played on the n200. I have four other devices that I have not a had a chance to check. I am rolling back to 2.71. It was all working except AVI DIV3s. I can re-encode those. How do take upgrades with any confidence?

A long habit of not thinking a thing wrong, gives it a superficial appearance of being right, and raises at first a formidable outcry in defense of custom.

    Hi Mark,

Sorry for the troubles. We have fixed the Sony SMP issues, so contact us at support [at] conceiva [dot] com for an updated set of Sony SMP device profiles.

Regarding your Samsung BDP, we've just re-tested Mezzmo v3.0 with our Samsung BDP and all formats that we tested (AVI, MKV, MP4, etc.) stream fine. Can you email us a set of logs when you connect & try streaming to your Samsung BDP. That will help us know what the problem is & fix it quickly.

Mezzmo Android: Install it on your tablet, smartphone, Android TV or Amazon Fire to browse and stream files from your Mezzmo library to all your devices. Full details at http://www.conceiva.com/products/mez...mo_android.asp
Mezzmo for Kodi Add-on: Install it into Kodi to stream files from your Mezzmo library directly in Kodi. Full details at http://www.mezzmo.com/wiki/doku.php?...odi_user_guide
Mezzmo for Roku App: Install it onto your Roku to stream files from your Mezzmo library. Full details at http://www.mezzmo.com/wiki/doku.php?...oku_user_guide

I will send the e-mail for the SMP fixes. It will take me a day or so to get to the logs for the Samsung device. As time permits, I am going to go through all of my devices and check. I see some android issues in these forums that I need to check for myself.

I hope you guys can understand the frustration. I did not volunteer for v 3.0 beta testing because I did/do not have time to test all of my devices. I would appreciate just being able to use Mezzmo and have it work.

    Hi Mark,

Sorry for the frustration & we've tried real hard to minimize this type of problem with a public Beta test for the past month, where 100+ users tested Mezzmo with their devices. Even so, this problem slipped through to the release so we'll continue to try to improve our QA.

Reports from other Sony BDP & SMP owners is that the fix does work & they are up and running again. We will add it to a minor Mezzmo update that we are preparing now & expect to release later this week.
