Default No Longer PS3 direct streaming since 'major' 3.0.0 upgrade.

Been using this a while and got the major upgrade alas it then lost all my cover art ok not a problem so pain painstakingly added it all back in and even went for the metadata info., now when I come to play the files I played a few days ago perfectly well on my PS3 they no longer work or lack the audio that was there before ??? Please can you give me the old version back, this is a show stopper for me as I have lots of recorded TV for the kids and their dvd's ripped which they go to.

Surely 'streaming direct' which was working before how can it now be broken ? Doesn't make sense as I even un-tick the transcode button as all my files are in a readable PS3 format or at they were prior to 3.0.1.0

Is there a way to get the previous version back as that for me worked perfectly, pre 3.0.0.0 ? Can't find any links.

Sorry for your problems. We are happy to help you get back up and running with Mezzmo v3.0.1 if you wish. My first guess is that the upgrade may have had a problem. Try this: Stop your Mezzmo server and exit Mezzmo. Display Windows Task Manager and click on the Processes tab. Display all processes from all users. Kill any Mezzmo.exe or MezzmoMediaServer.exe processes. Now, download the Mezzmo installer from http://www.conceiva.com/downloads and then run it. Choose to do a Repair when prompted. After that completes, run Mezzmo and start your Mezzmo server. Go to the Media Devices dialog and make sure your PS3 is using the right device profile (Sony Playstation 3). Try streaming now. If still a problem, let us know and we'll help further.

If you wish to install the previous version, Mezzmo v2.7.1.0 installer can be found here - http://www.conceiva.com/downloads/2710_mezzmo-setup.exe. Note: Your Mezzmo database has been upgraded for Mezzmo v3.0.1 so it is no longer compatible for Mezzmo v2.7.1.0. If you do choose to revert back, then make sure you remove your Mezzmo library when uninstalling.

Great thanks, yes the install hiccuped but simple enough to work out how to remedy that bit its just it no longer allows be to bypass transcoding and play all my video files to the PS3 so unless your engine has changed its a bit odd that 2.7.1.0 worked like a charm which is what I need to revert to as my library is a little large and to test every file is going to be a pain.

    Cheers,

Mezzmo v3.0.1 should be streaming to your PS3 just like Mezzmo v2.7.1.0 - so if it is not, let us know and we'll fix that ASAP.

The only additional feature that may affect your PS3 streaming is the new subtitles feature. If Mezzmo finds subtitles for your video files, then (by default) it will burn those subtitles into your videos when streaming to your PS3 (since your PS3 does not display external or embedded subtitles). This burning will result in transcoding your videos (whereas possibly your video may have previously been streamed natively in v2.7.1.0). If you don't want this subtitle burning, then go the Media Devices dialog in Mezzmo and edit your PS3 device. Go to the Subtitles tab in the Device Settings dialog and turn off subtitle burning. If you need more help, just ask.
