This might be a stupid question but in light of the recent DOD advisory about Universal Plug and Play, is Mezzmo safe to leave running 24/7? Is the 239.255.255.250 address seen in Mezzmo's logs an internal address?

Mezzmo broadcasts itself and listens for other devices on your home network using UPNP standard IP addresses (239.255.255.250) and ports (1900 & 2869). I don't believe there is anything to worry about - but ultimately that is your decision. If you do have further concerns, just ask & we'll explain how Mezzmo operates.
