Question Subtitle FAQs, FYIs, Help and TutorialsRequest

Would you be kind enough to provide a single FAQ entry (sticky) that fully discusses all nuances of how subtitles are supposed to work within Mezzmo V3.x?
I have already read some of the forum topics that have references to 'subtitles'; but...
In my trusted local BSPlayer, when BSP downloads a subtitle (usually *.srt files), it is normally stored in a new subfolder >> where the movie file is located and is labeled "subs".
I am having some problems with my Patriot Box Office (CORE) displaying the subtitles when streaming movies to it from my NAS HDD that includes the *.srt in a subfolder.
Please provide a full Tutorial on how Mezzmo handles subtitles, requirements, restrictions and proper protocol, etc.

    Thank you in advance!
    RandiO.

Please understand that I did not request this to put you on the spot but it seems like it may be something that is needed for the members.
I also hope that it is done in earnest and not just because it was requested.
If enough effort is put into it, it may help out the crew as well.
But if it is done half-heartedly (like a chore) then you may be opening up a whole can of worms.

Thank you in advance and if I may suggest you may even wish to tell us how the movie/music file naming governs and determines who/if the subtitles are fetched (and where from).
My folder/file naming conventions are very old skool and I don't put any spaces between words of the name of the movie and instead, start each new word with a capital.
Example (extreme case) for a movie file is >> "MissionImpossible-GhostProtocol[2011]" brackets dashes and underscores are about the only other characters I use and I NEVER use periods or commas or any other punctuation marks.
I also replace name of the actual movie to be same as the folder name that it is inside of, as above (and that also includes the subtitles).
Example( extreme case) for a music file is >> "JohnLeeHooker-EssentialCollection[2010]FLAC3CD"
For music files; I don't do singles and unless there is enough talent and thus justifies pruchase of a whole CD, I don't bother with "Once Song Charlie" bands!
And almost always omit the the first word of a group if it starts with the word "The", bcuz that makes a mess of categorization effort..

    Regards,
    RandiO.

We've been collecting notes about subtitling in Mezzmo and planning to have this FAQ since we released Mezzmo v3.0 (but have been to busy to post it), so don't worry RandiO - it is certainly not being done half hearted
