    Question Question about DVD / VIDEO_TS Folder structure and artwork retrieval

    I have been playing around with the trial version of Mezzmo 3.0.2.0 and am not able to get Mezzmo to pickup the correct movie artwork.

    My digital movie collection consists of DVD's I own copied to a VIDEO_TS folder format as described below:

    12_MONKEYS
    -->movie.xml
    -->folder.jpg
    --> AUDIO_TS
    --> VIDEO_TS
    -----> VIDEO_TS.VOB
    -----> VIDEO_TS.IFO
    -----> VTS_01_0.VOB
    -----> VTS_01_2.VOB
    -----> VTS_01_.... and so on..

    40_YEAR_OLD_VIRGIN
    -->movie.xml
    -->folder.jpg
    --> AUDIO_TS
    --> VIDEO_TS
    -----> VIDEO_TS.VOB
    -----> VIDEO_TS.IFO
    -----> VTS_01_0.VOB
    -----> VTS_01_2.VOB
    -----> VTS_01_.... and so on..

    I use "My Movies" to collect meta data & artwork and to serve these movies to Windows Media Center PC's. My Movies is creating a movie.xml file in the same folder as the AUDIO_TS & VIDEO_TS folders as well as folder.jpg file. From what I read, Mezzmo should be able to use that information.

    I am using a smart playlist to display the various movie titles within a specific directory and Mezzmo does a fine job of presenting the split VOB files as logical, usable titles. Mezzmo also imports the Artist, Year, Creator, Comment, and other meta data contained in the movie.xml without issue. Unfortunately Mezzmo will not use the folder.jpg as the artwork and retrieves an image from the movie instead.

    In the "Metadata Retrieval Settings" panel I have selected only "Get artwork from external files" and "Get text metadata and artwork from movie.xml and mymovies.xml". I then run the library maintenance with options to Update Video files, Update artwork, and Update all files (warning this will overwrite existing information). I have tried placing the folder.jpg inside of the "VIDEO_TS" folder I have also tried naming folder.jpg 12_MONKEYS.jpg, VIDEO_TS.jpg and placing that image in both the title & VIDEO_TS folders but Mezzmo still won't pick it up.

    I went as far as to completely uninstall mezzmo, including database data, and reinstalling and my results were the same as my initial install. Playback of the files works great on a variety of android devices but I would be happy to avoid manually assigning artwork for 500+ titles.

    Thank you in advance for your assistance.
