Default Win7, PS3, Belkin N+ wireless router combo. PS3 cannot find Mezzmo server. pls help

    Hi,
I just bought Mezzmo today and try to stream some video to my PS3. I had Tversity before and it works but lots of pauses during play, so I know my setup combo at least works with Tversity. can you please help me troubleshoot this problem?

I have played around with changing different parameters on my router but it does not help. I turned on the Mezzmo diagnostic log and see many repeating warnings, as follow:

Just for test purposes, see what happens if your disable the Windows Firewall and try again. Also, do you have any other security software that includes firewall functionality? If so, disable them temporarily, and try again. If it works then, it means you will have to configure the firewall to allow Mezzmo and the PS3 to talk.

    Hi,

I have tried both reinstalled Mezzmo and let it configure the firewall as well as turn off Windows firewall and Norton AV and my router's firewall alltogether. The result is the same... My PS3 still not able to see the Mezzmo server (it has no problem seeing the Tversity server which runs on the same desktop).

Also I have tried to test it withmy iPhone's 8player and it can see the Mezzmo server twice (ie., two instances of Mezzmo server on 8player's server list). When I browse the videos on Mezzmo thru 8player, all folders shown as empty (even when there are .mp4 files).

Would you like me to send the diagnostic log in rar format? if so, please let me know where to send it to.

    Thanks and regards

A few more things to look for:

    - There is currently a known issue where Mezzmo will crash whenever you plug an iPhone/iPod running iOS 4 on the PC running Mezzmo (Conceiva is currently working on this). Just restarting the Mezzmo service doesn't always work properly, especially with device detection, try completely rebooting your PC before trying again to connect your PS3 to Mezzmo.

    - You can try manually adding the PS3 to the list of devices. Launch the Mezzmo GUI, click on Media Devices. Check first if your PS3 already shows up, and if not, add it. See if afterward the PS3 can see Mezzmo.

If you still have no luck I'm sure someone from Conceiva will be able to guide you more in depth for further troubleshooting after the weekend. I can confirm that Mezzmo works great with my PS3, so it's just a matter of troubleshooting the problem here. (I'm another former Tversity user who preferred Mezzmo's level of comparability and faster pace of development).

There's one more thing to try - if you can e-mail support (at) conceiva (dot) com, I'll send you a patched version that fixes an issue for computers with multiple network interfaces (cards) and some devices. No need for logging yet - let's try the patch first to see if it works.

Mezzmo Android: Install it on your tablet, smartphone, Android TV or Amazon Fire to browse and stream files from your Mezzmo library to all your devices. Full details at http://www.conceiva.com/products/mez...mo_android.asp
Mezzmo for Kodi Add-on: Install it into Kodi to stream files from your Mezzmo library directly in Kodi. Full details at http://www.mezzmo.com/wiki/doku.php?...odi_user_guide
Mezzmo for Roku App: Install it onto your Roku to stream files from your Mezzmo library. Full details at http://www.mezzmo.com/wiki/doku.php?...oku_user_guide
