Default Is there a way to stop "System Task: Getting Video Subtitles: xx Files Remaining"

Everytime I load up mezzmo, it displays this, and the counter for video subtitles are not moving. To be honest, I don't know where these subtitles are coming from either. Completely locked up on that task.

First step, please upgrade to Mezzmo v3.1 that we just released. It should fix the problem.

If the problem still remains, then do the following:

    • Stop your Mezzmo server and exit Mezzmo application
    • Use Windows Explorer to go to the "C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Conceiva\Mezzmo " folder.
    • Rename the "MezzmoVideoSubtitles.db" file to (say) "MezzmoVideoSubtitles.bak".
    • Start Mezzmo and see if that is better.

I have a similar problem - There is always a system task running and it never seems to get anywhere. Right now I have:

System Task Getting album artwork: 21,767 files remaining (number is decreasing)
System Task Getting text metadata and artwork for videos: 8,464 remaining (number is decreasing)
System Task Getting video subtitles: 4,084 files remaining (number is decreasing)
System Task Getting video thumbnails: 4,960 (number is increasing)
System Task Processing active playlists: 6,457 remaining (number quickly counts down to 0 and starts over)

Shouldn't these numbers all count to zero and then stop?

    Hi GT13,

Everything looks normal - you just have to be patient as Mezzmo gets all the artwork and text metadata for your files that you've just added. This allows your to see good-looking artwork and have playlists for easy browsing of your Mezzmo library.

    I'll explain what's happening:

Getting album artwork - Mezzmo is getting music album cover artwork from the web for your music files
Getting text metadata and artwork for videos - Mezzmo is getting text information & artwork for your movies and TV show videos from imdb.com and thetvdb.com
Getting video subtitles - Mezzmo is finding all the subtitles (external & embedded) for your video files
Getting video thumbnails - Mezzmo is creating artwork from a video frame in the video (only does this if there was no match from imdb.com or thetvdb.com - so this number could increase, but will eventually come down)
Processing active playlists - As files are added into Mezzmo, Mezzmo updates all your active playlists in the Mezzmo tree (e.g. Music -> Artist -> Album). This number will increase and decrease as the files are processed.

All these tasks will decrease and will disappear when done. Make sure you have access to the internet so Mezzmo can get artwork, etc. from web sites.
