Default Stutter on Xbox and PS3

    Hello,

I'm having an issue with movies that I have pre-transcoded and they still are stuttering. No transcoding is happening, and both my PC and xbox are hardwired on gigabit ports on my router (yes my computer has a gigabit network card also). I have lowered the quality 2 notches and set the max resolution to 1280x720. Any other ideas to try? Thank you!

My guess is that the bitrate of the transcoded video may be too high for your devices to decode & play smoothly (every device has limits as to what they can decode and play smoothly). Right-click on the video in Mezzmo and click 'Get FFmeg Information'. Post that information here. Next, right-click on the video and click 'Properties'. On the Properties dialog, go to the Transcoding tab and select the transcoded file(s). Click 'Get FFmpeg Information' button and post that here.

In the meantime, as a test, try lowering the Video bitrate slider to half way (or even more) and see if that plays better.

There is the MPEG info. I will try the bitrate slider next here and see if that helps. Thank you!!

The transcoded video does have a 10Mb bitrate, which is quite high, and that will be the reason for the stuttering. I think lowering the Video bitrate slider in the Device Setting dialog (Performance tab) should do the trick.
