    Default Merging Folders?

    Hi-

I recently started using Mezzmo after having numerous issues with TVersity on my Samsung television, and am really liking it so far.

One thing that I did like about TVersity (when it worked) was that if I added a bunch of folders with the same root name (For example, "Videos" across multiple drives, it would merge those into one folder when browsing the videos. With Mezzmo, I have 7 different "Videos" folders show up.

I was wondering if there was some way to merge those so the "Videos" entry only showed up once. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks.

We don't have a folder merging feature as yet, but we are planning to have it in an upcoming version. Mezzmo does support Windows symlinks / junctions and this can help you organize your folders so they merge in a more organized manner. Just an update - Mezzmo v3.4 now has a new feature called Merged Folders and this lets you combine folders from different drives (NAS, USB and internal) so that you can browse a single folder structure in Mezzmo and on your devices. See this FAQ for more details - http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread...or-internal%29

This seems to be the most relevant topic for my problem. I love the new merge folders feature but my problem is in the new feature I have 4 drives with the same file structure (ie F:\Dvd\Tv; G:\Dvd\Tv; H:\Dvd\Tv). Depending on which order I add the folder I always end up with two tv folder the first two add combine into one folder and the third always makes a separate folder. Under the tv I have folders (ie 01 monday; 02 Tuesday ect) in total there are 14 folders under the TV heading. Is there a limite on how many folder will list under combined file structure.

To help us understand the problem better, please take a screenshot of (i) the Folder Properties dialog, (ii) the resulting merged folder as it appears in Mezzmo and (iii) the source folder(s) on your drives using Windows Explorer. That way we can re-create the same folder structure here and replicate your problem. You can post them here or email them to us at support [at] conceiva [dot] com.
