Thread: Reducing picture size and video in mezzmo

Arrow Reducing picture size and video in mezzmo

Hi i am trying out Mezzmo,

I use it in combination with Bubbleupnp on my android.
With this i can stream my holiday pictures, movies, tv series to any DLNA tv/device @ my friends places.

But with pictures of 8MB its hard to stream over a 10Mbs line. (need to wait like 5-6 seconds for loading a picture)
Can i setup Mezzmo to reduce the size of the pictures it sends out?
The tv can only display 1080P and the pictures are way higher so its just waste of bandwidth and wait time.

Next thing is streaming with 720P works perfect but 1080P is to much data to stream for my internet connection.
So i want Mezzmo to reduce the size to 720P and i can find it in Mezzmo but my server isn't fast enough to only downsize the stream to 720P with Mezzmo.
And i think per-transcoding all movies is not a option with 800+ movies of 8GB+

But when i use Media portal + Mp Extended plugin on my server and on my android phone Ampdroid it has no problem turning a 1080P mkv to a 720P stream without hicks from the same server.
Mezzmo and MPExtended use ffmpeg to convert.
I don't want it to mess with codec type or sound stream just reduce the stream size. If a tv of my friends can't play the stream i just hook up a laptop to the tv that can handle all type of streams.

I don't want to spend 500+ on my server just to work with Mezzmo if other software already can handle what i want.... (but Ampdroid can't send the stream over to a other tv just to Bsplayer on my phone so hence Mezzmo and bubbleupnp)

    Any ideas? Thanks.

Email us at support [at] conceiva [dot] com and we'll provide a tweaked device profile for you. In your email, let us know what device profile you are using with BubbleUPnP (there are several BubbleUPnP device profiles and they depend on the media player you are using to play the photos / videos on your Android device). Go to the Media Devices dialog to check & set this.
