Thread: Update mp3 tags from Mezzmo database

  1. #1

Question Update mp3 tags from Mezzmo database

I did set all my media information in Mezzmo correctly (including artwork). Is there a way to push that information back in the mp3 tags (so that the mp3 file is updated)? This would be especially interesting for the artwork for when I send the file on my mobile phone.

    Thank you.

Sorry, Mezzmo does not touch or write any information back into your media files. All information is kept in your Mezzmo library. You are best to use an MP3 tagging tool for this job.

Mezzmo Android: Install it on your tablet, smartphone, Android TV or Amazon Fire to browse and stream files from your Mezzmo library to all your devices. Full details at http://www.conceiva.com/products/mez...mo_android.asp
Mezzmo for Kodi Add-on: Install it into Kodi to stream files from your Mezzmo library directly in Kodi. Full details at http://www.mezzmo.com/wiki/doku.php?...odi_user_guide
Mezzmo for Roku App: Install it onto your Roku to stream files from your Mezzmo library. Full details at http://www.mezzmo.com/wiki/doku.php?...oku_user_guide

The problem is that I spent a lot of effort filling all that information and I do not want to re-enter it again. Would there be a way to export that information to a .csv or .xml with .jpg or whatever the format is for the thumbnails? This way I'd just have to create some script to update my .mp3 back.

    Thank you.

Sorry - there's no export metadata features in the current version of Mezzmo. If you are familiar with sqlite, you can open the Mezzmo database (Mezzmo.db) and use SQL statements to extract the information you are after.
