Default Mezzmo and Samsung Smart TV

I have just come from using Plex and there are a couple of features which i really miss using Mezzmo on my Samsung Smart TV. The first is instead of seeing folders or just thumbnails, Plex would show the Cover art of the title as well as the Metadata info (plot summary, cast, etc.). Is there a way that Mezzmo can do the same? The is i have quite a number of Boxsets, and one of the options of Plex (also in XBMC) is that it would automatically group sets together so when using my Smart TV all i had to do was select Collections and select the Boxset I wanted to watch.

Are either of these features available please? If not would it be something that could be implemented? The Only problem i had with the boxset option though (something i hope Mezzmo can do) is that Plex would order the movies in order of release date, instead it would order them aplhabetically.

    Thank you

    Hi Dougtumm,

When you add your media files into your Mezzmo library, Mezzmo will gather text metadata (title, release date, series, episode, plot, actors, etc.) and artwork for your files. It will gather is from inside the video files, or from external metadata files (.NFO, .XML. .TGMD, etc.) or from the internet (IMDB, TheTVDB). You can right-click on a video file in Mezzmo and click Properties. In the Properties dialog, you will see all the metadata that Mezzmo has gathered. You can edit this metadata as you wish, including the artwork. Mezzmo server streams all this information to your DLNA device. Some devices display quite a lot of it (including the artwork), some devices unfortunately just display the title and possibly the artwork thumbnail.

For folders or playlists, you can also set the artwork. Right-click on the folder/playlist and click Properties. In the Properties dialog, click Change Artwork to add artwork thumbnail for the folder. Mezzmo server streams this artwork to your DLNA devices and some devices display it instead of their default folder icon.
