Post Trouble with subtitles & LG 47lm6200

I have a 2012 LG 47lm6200 TV. I am having difficulty with subtitles when streaming from Mezzmo. My device settings are set to the LG TV 2012 profile. I have selected the appropriate subtitle file on the subtitle properties tab. The subtitle options are greyed-out on LG Menu. Please let me know what additional info I can provide to aid in troubleshooting.

    Much Thanks in Advance!

    Hi NashVegas,

Right-click on the video and click Properties. On the Properties dialog, go to the Subtitles tab and check that the subtitles are listed. You should see your embedded subtitles listed and also extracted subtitles listed. The extracted subtitles are the embedded subtitles that Mezzmo has automatically extracted from your video file for you. If no extracted subtitles are listed, then the "Auto extract embedded subtitles into cache" checkbox is not checked in the Options dialog (Subtitles -> Advanced page). If not checked, then check this checkbox and then run Maintain Library with the "Update subtitles" checkbox checked. This will auto extract the embedded subtitles for you. You can also manually extract the embedded in the Properties dialog (Subtitles tab) by selecting an embedded subtitle and clicking the "Extract Subtitles" button. More information about how to use subtitles in Mezzmo is at http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread...titling-Basics. After extracting your embedded subtitles, try streaming again and see how you go. If still a problem, let us know.

    Hi Paul,

Thanks so much for the speedy response! I had already searched & viewed the tutorial on the subtitling and followed those steps. I went through the steps again for good measure just to be sure and I am still having difficulty. The only subtitle selected is the extracted one. I also tried placing the .mkv file and .srt file in the same folder (making sure they were named identically with no dashes or dots) and then directing Mezzmo directly to that file in the appropriate dialog box. That also did not work. What should I try next?

One possible reason is that the SRT is badly formed & your TV refuses to display it. Try another SRT file (rename it as the same name as the MKV) and try streaming now.

If no better, then it's best we see a set of logs and we'll know if your TV actually requests the SRT. Turn on logging in Mezzmo (see http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread...nostic-logging) and restart your Mezzmo server. Connect to Mezzmo from your TV and browse to the folder containing the MKV. Play the MKV on your TV and try to choose a subtitle from the TV using your remote. When that fails, stop your Mezzmo server and exit Mezzmo. Zip up all the logs and email them to us at support [at] conceiva [dot] com. Also, in your email, please include the SRT file and we'll try i here with our LG TV.
