Question How does Mezzmo work with multiple profiles with pre transcoding ?

Mezzmo 3.2.0 and Panasonic TCP P60ST50 along with Panasonic BDP BDT500

I have a Panasonic P60ST50 smart TV and have been using a profile with that TV successfully. I have an older PC and I pre transcode all of the applicable formats to use this TV setup.

I just purchased a Panasonic BDP BDT500 Blu-ray player that support similar but not necessarily identical file formats. I have updated this device to the Panasonic BDP profile.

    1) So, before I start testing it, I am trying to understand how I would pre transcode files with this profile along with pre transcoding with the same file for the P60st50?

    2) Which profiles should I use for the two setups. Panasonic P60st50 --> or Panasonic BDT500 --->

    thanks in advance

Well it will transcode to a specific device profile. So you should check and see what format produces the best quality on both devices and use that.

Mezzmo creates and stores transcoded files for each of your devices in separate folders (under your transcoded files folder - see the Transcoding Settings dialog for it's location). This allows Mezzmo to stream compatible files to many devices without any problems.

Regarding device profiles, keep to the same device profile you are using with your TV since you say it is working fine. For your Blu-ray player, try the 'Panasonic BDP (2012 models)' device profile. If that has problems, try one of the other Panasonic BDP device profiles.
