    Default Marantz NA-7004?

Any chance for a profile for Marantz NA-7004 network audio player? Or if not, there is a compatible one?
    Thanks.

Sure - we'll create Marantz NA device profile for you. We'll need a few things:

    • Turn on logging in Mezzmo (see http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread...nostic-logging) and restart your Mezzmo server. Connect to Mezzmo from your Marantz and try to play a few files. Then, stop your Mezzmo server and exit Mezzmo. Zip up all the logs and email them to us at support [at] conceiva [dot] com.
    • Email us a list of the supported audio, video, photo and subtitle formats that the device supports. Check the device's manual or product's web page for this.

The compatible file types for Marantz NA-7004 are MP3, WMA, AAC, WAV, FLAC.
It’s a Network Audio player only so it doesn’t support any kind of video or pictures files. Also the display cannot show album art.

Now I have absolutely no idea which are the supported characteristics for MP3, WMA and AAC because I do not use this kind of files (and I not intend to use them in the feature).
The only files in which I’m interested (and they are compatible with Marantz 70004) are WAV and FLAC as bellow:

.wav and .flac in stereo (2 channels) only
    - Up to 192 kHz sampling frequency; (44.1, 96 and 196)
    - Up to 24 bits (16/24);

Also I do not need any kind of transcoding (just to make sure that there is no any “hidden” setting in the profile files that can override whatever I can set from the interface)
I’ve already sent the files at support.

Now, I have a small (big) issue.

The information on the Marantz NA-7004 display contains only Album Name, Artist Name (switchable with album name) and Title. Now, when streaming .wav files from Mezzmo (installed on windows 8 computer) instead of Artist Name I have this message “Unknown Composer”. This is happening for .wav only, same files converted to .flac with absolutely no modification in id-tags will display the correct information (Artist Name).

Also this is not happening for .wav files if streaming is from other media server (such as minidlna which is installed on my router).

I know that .wav is no so friendly with ID-Tags, but if the Marantz is displaying correct information for .wav files from minidlna maybe is there something that can be set or done from the Mezzmo side. Since I have 99.9% of my music in wav format, I’ll really appreciate please some help here (if possible).

    Thanks.

    Thanks.

Thanks for the information and logs. We'll create the device profile and email it to you shortly to try.

Mezzmo extracts metadata from within your files, from external metadata files and from metadata web sites. Regarding your .wav files, they are limited in the metadata contained in the files. Please zip one up and email it to us at support [at] conceiva [dot] com for analysis. We'll see what we can do
