Default Best Profile for SONY BDPS370 Blu-ray player

    Hello,
I have a SONY BDPS370 and use Mezzmo to stream to it.
In addition, at present I am unable to stream MP4 videos without them stuttering or failing with the message saying there not compatible.
I have tried various Sony profiles and reduced the quality settings while transcoding, none of them work very well.
Can anyone offer any help or make a profile more suited to this player.
    Many thanks Whimick.

They stutter because to show them they need to be transcoded. The Sony will not natively show mp4 over DLNA. To get rid of the stutter simply tell Mezzmo to pre-transcode the files. Or you can do it manually. That player likes mpg, mp2 and vob note that the audio needs to be AC3.

    I Believe you are incorrect.

I copied this from the manual:

Playable types of files File format Extensions
    MPEG-1 Video/PS*1
    MPEG-2 Video/PS,
    TS*1
    “.mpg,” “.mpeg,”
    “.m2ts,” “.mts”
    DivX*2 “.avi,” “.divx”
    MPEG-4 AVC*1 “.mkv,” “.mp4,”
    “.m4v,” “.m2ts,”
    “.mts”
    WMV9*1 “.wmv,” “.asf”
    AVCHD *3

And MP4 is clearly shown. If I load them to a USB stick they play OK, about the only thing that does not are flv files.

Can a profile for it be created?

Yes they should play off the USB. Here is a link to the Sony support site showing compatibility. Note that mp4 is ok on USB but is not supported over DLNA. They do this because Sony makes movies and they worry that everyone is going to steal Mars needs moms (or maybe a good one).
